Churchrecords of Birnbaum, 19 July 1723: baptism-record of Jacob Gottlieb Fuhrmann
He learned his profession in Birnbaum, was a journeyman for 3 years and became a master-furrier in 1748/1749. He had his own business in Birnbaum and payed for the rights of citizen of Birnbaum on 13 June 1750.
He married on 5 August 1762 in Birnbaum the widow of a furrier from Grossdorf near Birnbaum, Anna Maria Braemer, nee Litt.
marriagerecord on 5.Aug 1762 of Master Jacob Gottlieb Fuhrmann, citizen and furrier with Anna Maria, widow Bremerin nee Littin - to the femal names is the femal ending "in" added
She had inherited the furrier-business in Grossdorf from her husbend. It is not known, if she had children out of her first marriage. But it would make it possible that her 2nd husbend led the bussiness in Grossdorf besides his own in Birnbaum, just as long as it would take time for a child, out of her first marriage, to grow up, to become a masterfurrier and to take the business over.
Jacob Gottlieb and Dorothea Elisabeth had 6 children, but 4 of them died allready in their first 3 years. So only Johann Benjamin and Johann Traugott survived.
We don’t have any records about Johann Traugott, because in the churchregisters of Birnbaum is a gap from 1795 till 1812, just the time Traugott would have had his confirmation and the time to get married. Also later on we didn’t find any children or deathrecords. So it’s possible, he left the town.
